Mr. Obama has once again disappointed, interfered where he has no business and acted to demean the office he holds.
Yesterday, on a campaign visit to North Carolina, (is he still running?) he more or less denounced his own FBI director for notifying Congress that potential information on the investigation of Mrs. Clinton had been discovered.
The President is responsible in making sure the integrity of the legal and judicial process is untainted and not politicized. It is essential to keeping the trust between the government and the public. Mr. Obama and his justice Department have been abject failures. It is difficult to believe anything said.
When FBI Director Comey publicly announced the case against Mrs. Clinton on her multiple breaches of national security was closed a few months ago, it was hailed by the President. Now, it seems, it is fair to vilify Mr. Comey.
Mr. Obama should be reminded this is of his own making. The Justice Department has done about everything possible to impede the investigation of Mrs. Clinton and her e-mails, and of the goings on at the Clinton foundation. His Attorney General does not have the good sense to know not to meet with her husband, Bill Clinton, while his wife is under scrutiny. Mr. Obama’s Attorney General failed to call a Grand Jury and failed to make a determination of the evidence, instead passing the decision off to Mr. Comey and then made the Department's displeasure known when he decided to notify Congress. If it was so objectionable, she could have ordered him not to do so. I mean she is his supervisor and of course, the President could remove both of them.
The DOJ has been turned into a political arm of the Clinton campaign. The FBI is hamstrung in its investigation. The President vouches for Mrs. Clinton on all the questionable matters, making one wonder what he knows and what instructions he has given.
The entire process stinks. The perception horrible.
Mr. Obama’s reckless, unseemly and inappropriate interference damages us all. It makes the process questionable. He should have been quiet but just can not help himself or does not care, just another example of his fecklessness. His appearance seems like a desperate act.
